Security and Access Control

Optimax uses a role-based security system where each role can grant or deny permission for objects, operations, and navigation. Each user account is assigned one or more roles to determine their functional permissions.

Roles define the ability to read, write, create, and delete objects in the system.
Roles show and/or hide items in the navigation menu, simplifying the user interface.
Object permissions can be based on a logical criteria like “If the current user is a Team Leader, allow access to their team’s information, but deny access to all other team’s information”.
Permissions can be specific to an individual data field. For example, you can hide financial data elements from clinical staff, and hide clinical data from the billing staff.
Secure connections are required, and automatically forced, when connecting to the Optimax cloud. This ensures the security of the information as it passes between your local system and the Optimax cloud.

Custom validation rules provide the guard-rails to ensure quality information and protect against data entry errors.
Custom appearance rules change the visibility and appearance of fields and objects based on logical criteria, making key conditions and attributes instantly visually apparent.
Dashboard views allow you to organize all the items that need attention in a single consolidated view with easy drill-down navigation to any object.
Automated processes and triggers can respond to actions and events in real-time, at a scheduled time, or when an event happens in Optimax. For example, if an Incident record is created, we can spawn a task assigned to the appropriate supervisor to review the incident report.
